It has been wonderful to a good number of sailors participating in the Sunday events we have held so far and the wind has generally been excellent! Have a look at the Sailing calendar and handicap list.
Particularly pleasing is the restarting of a Junior programme on a Saturday afternoon with sailors between the ages of 7 and 12 and we look forward to seeing the programme develop.
The Club owns a variety of boats that qualified sailors are able to use and we charge a small monthly fee which allows qualified sailors to sail club boats at any time.
Many people say that they would like to sail but never get around to learning. Brunei provides excellent conditions for mastering the basics!
New sailors are of course welcome and here is a quick guide to how you can start.
I am a Beginner
We will be advertising regular courses that follow the Royal Yachting Association Level 1 course. Courses will be 4 afternoons followed by a Sunday afternoon sailing with our more experienced sailors. Our next course is in April and currently full so please watch for details of dates for the next course.
I have sailed - but need a refresher
We have 2 options.
1. Join a beginner course
2. Book a session (Monday - Friday) with Jawie our instructor to recap and 'brush up' on your skills.
