Laying Up Dinner

Traditionally a black-tie event, the Laying Up Dinner celebrates the end of the sailing season when boats are ‘laid up’ ashore due to North East monsoon and less than favourable sailing conditions. With the advent of lighter, stronger boats and much improved sports clothing sailing now continues until Christmas.

The dinner is usually held around the time of the Commodore’s Trophy race in the club’s Library or Veranda depending on the numbers. Members and guests enjoy a delicious 3 course meal, followed by the Commodore’s welcoming speech and the presentation of trophies for this year’s race series by the Sailing Secretary.

The dinner is priced at B$45.00 per person. Please note that the Laying Up dinner is restricted to children below the ages of 16. Please call the Admin office on 2787466 to reserve your seat and menu choices before 10.00am on 19th November 2022.
